New offshore Operation and Maintenance (O&M) contract with Petrobras covers 13 fixed shallow-water platforms located in the states of Rio Grande do Norte and Ceará.
Forship has just secured a strategic contract with Petrobras to carry out integrated operation, maintenance, inspection, and decommissioning services on fixed platforms in the states of Rio Grande do Norte and Ceará (RNCE), strengthening its offshore operations in the Northeast and consolidating its position as a national benchmark in O&M.

The new contract with Petrobras’s Decommissioning Asset Management Department (GAD) covers a comprehensive range of services essential to the safe decommissioning of offshore facilities: operation, maintenance, and inspection of production systems and facilities; removal of metal structures, piping, equipment, and valves; construction and assembly of metal structures; and support services, operational assistance, supply of goods, and equipment rental.
Forship will operate on 13 (thirteen) fixed platforms installed in the Atum, Xaréu, Curimã, and Pescada fields in Ceará, and in the Agulha and Biquara fields in Rio Grande do Norte, all currently undergoing decommissioning.
Mobilization & Onboarding
Executing the contract required mobilizing approximately 500 professionals. “This demanded rigorous planning and integrated coordination across the company’s various areas,” says Project Manager Raylton Ricarte Jales, who is leading this challenge.
To ensure team qualification and alignment, Forship carried out an onboarding process in Paracuru (CE) and Guamaré (RN), reinforcing organizational culture, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines, operational standards, and performance expectations. “This ensures that all professionals begin their work aligned with the standards required by Petrobras and with our own principles,” the manager adds.

The mobilization and start-up of the new contract have a direct impact on the regional production chain and strengthen the logistical infrastructure needed for offshore activities — including support vessels, maintenance resources, and specialized equipment — while also creating opportunities for professionals in the region.
