Yellow September: ongoing care

Yellow September: ongoing care

In-person and online activities reflect Forship Group’s commitment to the well-being of its people

Yellow September highlights the importance of talking about mental health, support and suicide prevention. At Forship Group, this topic is taken seriously and aligned with the guidelines of NR-1, the Brazilian regulatory standard that identifies psychosocial risks as an essential part of occupational health and safety management.

“Our current Occupational Health structure monitors employees’ health and promotes prevention initiatives, campaigns and training,” notes Jéssica Ximenes, QHSE Coordinator.

“The company has been building ongoing initiatives focused on employee well-being, recognizing that healthy environments are built every day,” says the coordinator, highlighting the constant attention given to work-related psychosocial risk factors and the expansion of initiatives that are already part of the corporate routine.

Risk factors

For Yellow September, the company organized a talk in partnership with CVV (Centro de Valorização da Vida), Brazil’s emotional support and suicide prevention service, to raise awareness, promote prevention and encourage people to seek support. Initiatives under evaluation include mapping psychosocial risk factors, new training programs and expanded support resources.

She also notes that Yellow September inspires practical day-to-day guidance: recognizing signs of stress, respecting rest periods, setting boundaries, keeping communication open and seeking support when needed. “For leaders, paying attention to signs of overload, active listening and giving feedback responsibly are essential,” adds Jéssica Ximenes.

Taking care of mental health is a shared responsibility. By strengthening prevention initiatives and fostering more humane working relationships, Forship reaffirms its commitment to valuing people, a value that underpins its culture and guides its work.
